Nancy S. Hogan
Founder and President
Nancy is a CPA licensed in both New York and Connecticut. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University and has specialized in tax accounting her entire career. Nancy began her career at Price Waterhouse in 1986 where she worked for four years. She then went on to found her own business, Nancy S. Hogan CPA in 1990 and then rebranded it as Aquila Tax Solutions CPA LLC in 2015. Nancy has a passion for working with her clients with the first and primary responsibility to prepare accurate tax returns. She has built the business by getting to know her clients and helping them to achieve their personal financial and tax goals. She does this by working directly with them, as well as with their brokers, bankers, investment advisors and estate lawyers to help them develop and implement their plans. The goal is ultimately to give each client peace of mind by having them know that their tax planning is consistent with their financial goals and legacy aspirations.
Nancy has a unique business platform striving to balance work life with personal life. She truly believes that it is important to balance personal family life and work life to be able to not only to serve her clients with the utmost professionalism and precision but also to have balance in her life to serve God and be there for her family. Nancy’s personal interests include running and working out. Her passion is her four amazing children and her family. She is very active at St. John’s Episcopal Church in South Salem serving in various roles including Treasurer, Comptroller, Vestry member, Strategic Planning Committee, and Biathlon Sponsorship Chairperson. She ran a thriving middle school youth group program with a neighboring church while her children were in middle school.
Nancy’s favorite place to vacation is Panther Pond, in Raymond, ME. She has been going to this lake for the past 28 years and it has been a central part of her heart and soul.
Nancy is a member of the Connecticut Society of CPAs (CSCPA) and the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
