Nancy S. Hogan began her career in 1986, at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PWC). She received extensive and solid, formal tax planning and preparation experience in state and federal tax with this “Big 8” accounting firm for four years. Nancy took this experience, combined with her desire to achieve in her chosen profession, and earned her CPA license.

After achieving her CPA, in 1989 Nancy joined PJ Carroll & Company in the position of controller and managed the books and taxes in their tax department.

In 1990, big changes occurred for Nancy; She handled the closure of PJ Carroll & Company and struck out in her own, founding her own business, Nancy S. Hogan, CPA. Nancy S. Hogan, CPA advanced her original mission to customize tax planning and tax strategy to meet each client’s individual needs.

Beginning in 1992 and continuing for 16 years, Nancy worked as a sole practitioner in her home office, giving her clients a comfortable environment to focus on their individual tax preparation and planning.

In 2008, Nancy S. Hogan, CPA was ready to grow and the first step was to set up an office in South Salem, New York (Westchester County). Nancy also hired her first full-time employee, as the firm was rapidly expanding.

As her business continued to expand, in 2010 the decision was made to change the firm’s name to Nancy S. Hogan, CPA & Associates LLC. The new name acknowledged the dedicated people who had joined Nancy in the firm. Nancy obtained her New York CPA license at this time, in addition to maintaining her Connecticut CPA license.

Business kept growing for Nancy S. Hogan, CPA & Associates LLC and in 2011, Nancy hired a tax manager to serve her clients growing needs. This personnel addition was followed by adding a part-time accountant and full-time accounting manager in 2012 and hiring a part-time office manager in 2013.

In November 2015, Nancy S. Hogan, CPA & Associates LLC became Aquila Tax Solutions CPA LLC. The firm was excited to relaunch the business with new branding to reinforce the core values which they are committed to deliver to each and every client. These values include integrity, honesty and trusted results. The goal is to deliver peace of mind as the ultimate benefit of the work done on your behalf. Aquila Tax Solutions CPA LLC now employs a full-time tax manager, a full-time accounting manager and a part-time office manager. They, along with Nancy, position Aquila Tax Solutions CPA LLC for growth and to reinforce the core values they are committed to delivering to their clients.

In September 2016, Aquila Real Estate Holding Company purchased an office building in Ridgefield, Connecticut and leased it to Aquila Tax Solutions CPA LLC. This decision was made as part of a strategic plan to upgrade the office with a fresh new look, new equipment and to install even safer technology to protect our client data. The office is now right off Main Street in the heart of Ridgefield, across from the Prospector Theater. Nancy’s daughter, Clare S. Hogan, designed the new office space. The entire office interior was gutted and rebuilt as an open, sunny, modern office space, with a separate conference room. A new file room was created to consolidate all our paper files, while we continue to move toward a paperless environment for our tax clients.
